摘要

Abstract

Triaxial tests were performed under different wall rock conditions by applying RTS-500 triaxial rheometer. The peak stress and its changing rule under triaxial confining pressure were determined. The rock variation of c,φvalue were calculated in accordance with the Mohr-Coulomb strength theory. Furthermore, the strength and deformation characteristics of quartz schist were analyzed. The results show that the rock demon-strate brittle characteristics under low confining pressure with non-uniformed rock internal heterogeneity. The rock specimen is observed in a changing tendency from low to high yield at high confining pressure with uni-formed internal characteristics. The rock tends to transform from brittle to plastic features. The peak strain and confining pressure of rock show a significant linear relationship. The sensitivity of the residual strength of the rock is obviously higher than the peak strength. Moreover, the experiments of RTS-500 rock rheometer system is precise and reliable.
