摘要

Abstract

Zebrafish has been widely used in monitoring and evaluation of environmental chemicals,and received recognition from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD),the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),and other authorities.This article described the advantages using zebrafish in environmental toxicology studies;reviewed that it as a widely used model seconded to mice was used in a series of environmental toxicology related studies,including developmental toxicity and teratogenicity,carcinogenic toxicity,embryonic toxicity,cardiovascular toxicity,neural and behavioral toxicity,especially reproductive toxicity;as well as proposed a wide prospect of application in hazard identification and risk assessment for environmental chemicals.In addition,because of its small embryonic and larval body,zebrafish is a suitable model system for high content analysis of chemicals and drugs,and combining techniques of transgenics,genomics,and proteomics,it can be better used in mechanism study of environmental toxicology.
