摘要

Abstract

The authors conducted a series of experiments to evaluate the feasibility of making scrimber from medium-density wood, such as Robinia pseudoacacia and Eucalyptus urophylla. The technological characteristics and properties of the scrimber samples were tested. The results showed that the two species were suitable for making scrimber. When the sample’s density was 1.10 g/cm3, the mechanical properties and water resistance met the highest specifications of the National Standard GB/T 20241-2006 for Laminated Venner Lumber.
