摘要
Abstract
A vertical impervious wall is usually provided as seepage control measures for construction of an earth-rock dam on a deep and thick overburden foundation. If the seepage gradient at the bottom of a shallow impervious wall and around it or at the downstream seepage outlet is high, it is easy to cause seepage failure, eventually giving rise to dam collapse or breach. The installation of afi lter can protect an earth-rock dam from seepage failure, and proper use of afi lter will reduce the depth of the impervious wall, shorten the construction period, smooth construction and reduce the cost to a great extent, thus ensuring safe and stable operation of the dam.关键词
