Abstract
Objective To explore the curative effect of thymopentin combined with antibiotics in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at acute exacerbation stage.Methods 120 elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at acute exacerbation stage who were in our center and Mental hospital of Guangzhou Civil Administration Bureau from December 2012 to December 2015 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 60 cases in each group. Based on the routine therapy of continuous oxygen inhalation, relieving cough, reducing sputum, spasmolysis, and relieving asthma, the control group was treated with antibiotic, and the observation group was treated with thymopentin and antibiotics. Results After treatment, in the observation group, the lung functional indexes of PEF, FEV1, FEF25%,FEF50%,FEF75% and total effective rate were obviously higher than those of the control group (P<0.05),the adverse reaction rates of the two groups were not statistically different (P>0.05). Conclusion The therapy of thymopentin combined with antibiotics is effective in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at acute exacerbation stage, which can obviously improve the lung functions of patients, and is safe to some extent.关键词
