Development of the electromagnetic driven positive pressure cyclically sequential therapeutic instrument for Lower limbs

Abstract
In This paper, we introduced a new type of positive pressure therapeutic instrument driven by electromagnetic – the electromagnetic driven positive pressure cyclically sequential therapeutic instrument for Lower limbs. The instrument is composed of controller and shrinkable sleeve, and the shrinkable sleeve consists of several shrinkable bands. The shrinkable sleeve is driven by the electromagnetic devices connected with shrinkable bands, which power comes from the interattraction of electromagnets. The shrinkable sleeve presses the limb tissue from distal to proximal sequentially and cyclically, that pushes the blood and lymph from the distal to the proximal of the limb, thus promotes the blood and lymph recirculation. The employment of the electromagnetic power in the therapeutic instrument improves the shrinking frequency, flexibility, and controllability of the shrinkable bands, therefore improves the treatment effect significantly. This instrument was designed for the prevention of the postoperative lower limb deep venous thrombosis (LDVT).关键词
