摘要
Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between high fat diet and male fertility. Methods 50 male infertility patients who were in the reproductive department of our hospital from January to December 2014 were selected as observation group, and another 100 healthy males who received physical examinations in our hospital were selected as control group. The proportions of high fat diet of the two groups were compared, and the correlation of high fat diet and male fertility was calculated. According to diets, the patients in the observation group were divided into normal diet group and high fat diet group, and received semen tests, the sperm densities, sperm activities, semen stickiness, sperm survival rates, and sperm eumorphism rates of the two groups were compared.ResultsThe proportion of high fat diet in the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The calculation result indicated that, there was a closely negative correlation between high fat diet and male fertility (P<0.05). In the high fat diet group, the sperm density, sperm activity, sperm survival rate, and sperm eumorphism rate were obviously lower than those of the normal diet group (P<0.05), while the semen stickiness was obviously higher than that of the normal diet group (P<0.05).Conclusion There is a closely correlation between high fat diet and male fertility. Long-term high fat diet will cause a decline in male semen quality, which may lead to male infertility.关键词
