摘要

Abstract

The Mg2B2O5 whisker reinforced aluminum-matrix composites were prepared by powder hot extrusion process,the effect of Mg2B2O5 whisker content on friction and wear properties of the composites were researched.The results show that,at the constant speed and load,its wear resistance is best when the volume content of Mg2B2O5 whisker is 2%,the wear rate is only 62% of 6061 aluminum alloy.With the increase of the load,the wear rate of the composite increases,and in high volume content,the wear rate of the composites show increasing trend.The analysis of worn surfaces reveal that the wear mechanism of 6061 aluminum alloy is dominated by abrasive wear,the wear mechanism of the composites is dominated by adhesive wear under the condition of low load.The wear mechanism of 6061 aluminum alloy and the composites are dominated by adhesive wear and abrasive wear under the condition of high load.
