Abstract
Distributed optical fiber monitoring is that optical fiber is used as sensing medium, along with advanced OTDR technology to detect strain of soil layer at different location along the fiber, achieving real distributed surveying. Ground subsidence in Fuyang is resulted from excessive depletion of groundwater in the urban area of Fuyang City that leads to water level drop, and consolidation and compaction of soil layer in a large area in the normal consolidation and overconsolidation[1] soil layer zone. Geological Surveying Institute of Anhui Province, Surveying Institute of Fuyang City and Institute of Geological Survey of Anhui Province made a great deal of elevation surveying work in the area, only found out the scope of ground subsidence and vertical settlement, and disagreed on the formation mechanism and change in each compression layer. Distributed optical fiber monitoring can accurately measure the change of each compression layer providing scientific basis for prevention and treatment of ground subsidence in Fuyang.关键词
