Effects of Abomasul Infusion of Amino Acid Mixture without Arginine, Threonine and Histidine on Mammary Amino Acid Metabolism of Lactating Goats

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of abomasul infusion of amino acid ( AA ) mixture without arginine ( Arg) , threonine ( Thr) and histidine ( His) on mammary AA metabolism of lacta⁃ting goats. Four Saanen dairy goats at med⁃lactation period were selected and installed with abomasul ( for AA infusion), jugular arterial and breast intravenous fistula cannulas (for blood sample collection), as well as probes of blood flowmeter at external pudendal artery ( for mammary blood flow recording ) . Goats for trial were restricted fed a basal diet to meet energy and protein needs for maintenance. Abomasa were infused with glucose and AA mixed solution, which had same AA composition with ruminal microbial protein. A 4×4 Latin square design was used, control group was infused total AA mixture, and trial groups were infused AA mixture without one of Arg, Thr or His, respectively; the trial consisted of 4 stages with 7 d per stage, in each of which the first 4 d were infusion period, and the last 3 d were sampling period. The results showed as follows:1) infusion of AA mixture without single AA had no significant effects on milk yield and milk protein yield ( P>0.05) . 2) Infusion of AA mixture without Arg or Thr significantly increased mammary blood flow ( P≤0.05) , but reduced the concentrations of the missing AA in artery and vein, and the AA clear rates of mamma⁃ry glands were increased by 25.9% and 199%; infusion of AA mixture without single AA had no significant effects on absorbed amount to yield of AA of mammary glands (P>0.05). 3) Infusion AA mixture without Arg, Thr or His increased AA conversion efficiency of lactation of mammary glands by 25. 4% ( 4. 02 vs. 5.04,P≤0.05), 34.5% (9.09 vs. 12.23,P≤0.05) and 14.6% (10.51 vs. 12.04,0.05<P≤0.10), respec⁃tively. The results indicate that dairy goats increase the supplementation of mammary gland lacking AA from di⁃et through increasing mammary blood flow and mammary clear rate, and improve conversion efficiency of lac⁃tation of the lacking AA.关键词
