Externally smearing rhubarb on CV 8 in combination with massage on ST 25 for constipation caused by opioid drugs

Abstract
Objective 19 patients with cancer pain who took oxycontin from July,2013 to April,2014were observed and found that externally smearing rhubarb on CV 8 and massaging ST 25 can prevent constipation caused by opioid drugs and improve the patient's life quality.Now more patients were chosen for further study and to observe the effect of externally smearing rhubarb on CV 8 in combination with massage on ST 25 for constipation caused by opioid drugs.Methods As inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,80 patients with cancer pain were divided into a treatment group and a control group using random number table,40 cases for each group.The treatment group took oxycontin and put rhubarb and ginger powder on CV 8 one time a day.At the same time,the patients were massaged ST 25.The control group took lactulose 2 times a day and 1 bag each time after being diagnosed with constipation.Both groups were given constipation routine nursing.The research mainly observed the defecation number,constipation score,and clinical curative effect before and after the treatment of these two groups.Results There were statistical differences in the frequency of defecation,constipation score,clinical efficacy between these two groups (P ＜ 0.05).The results were consistent with the previous observation.Conclusions Externally smearing rhubarb on CV 8 in combination with massage on ST 25 for constipation caused by opioid drugs is effective and worth being clinically generalized.关键词
