广西合浦县耀康高岭土矿地质特征和矿床成因
Geological characteristics and ore genesis of Yaokang kaoline deposit in Hepu,Guangxi

Abstract
Yaokang kaolin deposit is a super large scale deposit,with reserve of 197.7 million tons,and elutri-ation concentrate up to 75 million tons.The deposit covers an area of about 16 km2 ,with the average orebody depth of 12.86 m.Most of the mineral compositions are quartz (30% -48%),kaolinite (20% -35%),and mica group (14% -35%),and the accessory mineral is less than 1%.Yaokang kaolin deposit,occurring in moyite weathering crust of the late Caledonian,is stratiform or stratoid,with slow ups and downs of the orebody roofs and floors,covering the granite.It is a typical granite weathered residual deposit,and weathering is the main ore-genesis mechanism.The ore-forming original rock is Nachedong moyite pluton,which has a high feld-spar content(>60%)and lower iron and titanium content (<1.5%).Multiple regional faults caused abundant ductile deformation structures,humid and rainy climate conditions could further contribute to the decomposition of rocks.Feldspar can be transformed into kaolinite by two ways:feldspar -sericite -kaolinite and feldspar -kaolinite.关键词
