Abstract
Objective: To study the clinical characteristics and the effect of surgery treatment of elderly patients over 80 years with colorectal cancer.Methods: Clinical data of 136 patients over 80 years with colorectal cancer in our hospital from April 2003 to August 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, and analyzed its characteristics, perioperative management, surgical treatment, postoperative complications and prognosis.Results: Preoperative complications and coexisting disease accounted for 84.6% (115/136), postoperative complications 54.4% (74/136), the mortality rate was 8.1% within 30 days atfer surgery. Radical surgery rate was 72.1%. hTe 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rates were 77%, 43% and 25%.Conclusion: Advanced age is not a contraindication of elderly patients with colorectal cancer surgery. As long as taken the strong perioperative management, it can achieve a favorable short-term outcomes, but long-term prognosis is not satisfactory.关键词
