Progress in the role of miRNAs in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract
miRNAs are small non-coding single-stranded RNAs, which regulate gene expression at posttranscriptional level through completely or partially binding to mRNA targets. Currently, more and more researches have revealed that miRNAs participates in the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This review will introduce the relationship between miRNAs and cigarette smoke exposure, emphysema, inlfammation. hTe regulating mechanism and potential clinical application of miRNAs in COPD will be highlighted.关键词
