Effects of Reduced Glutathione Combined with Self-designed Lipid-lowering Decoction on Serum Enzyme and Lipid Peroxide Levels of Patients with Alcoholic Fatty Liver

Abstract
Objective To investigate effects of Reduced Glutathione combined with self-designed lipid-lowering decoction on levels of serum enzyme and lipid peroxidation indexes of patients with alcoholic fatty liver. Methods A to-tal of 92 patients with alcoholic fatty liver admitted during February 2014 and October 2015 were divided into observation group (n=52) and control group (n=40) according to therapic methods. control group was treated with Reduced Gluta-thione, while observation group was treated with self-designed lipid-lowering decoction based on Reduced Glutathione treatment. Clinical curative effects, adverse reactions, changes of blood lipid, serum enzyme and lipid peroxidation inde-xes before and after treatment were observed in two groups. Results Total effective rate in observation group was higher than that in control group (P<0. 05). After treatment, levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), serum ala-nine transaminase, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, aspartate transaminase and malondialdehyde were lower, while levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol and superoxide dismutase were higher than those before treatment in two groups, and improvement of the above indexes in observation group was better than those in control group after treatment (P<0. 05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in two groups. Conclusion Reduced Glutathione combined with self-designed lipid-lowering decoction can significantly reduce TG, TC and serum enzyme indexes and effectively improve liver function of patients with alcoholic fatty liver. Its mechanism of action is perhaps that of inhibiting hepatic lipid peroxidation.关键词
