Relationship among Emotional Intelligence,Family Environment and Aggression in Junior School Students

Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship among emotional intelligence,family environment and aggression in junior school students.Methods:Totally 41 1 students in grade 7 and 8 were recruited.The Emotional Intelligence Scale,Family Environment Scale-CV,and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire were adopted to all subjects from two random chosen junior school.Results:①Emotional intelligence of 8 grade students was significantly higher than that of the 7 grade(t =-2.96,P <0.01),while compared to grade 7,the family environment of grade 8 students had changed in some dimensions(t =3.98,P <0.001).And the differences in aggression between grades remained not significant;② Gender differences remained not significant both in emotional intelligence and family environment ex-cept for aggression,where the aggression level of male was higher than female(t =3.49,P <0.01 );③There was a significant pairwise correlation between the three of emotional intelligence,family environment and aggression(r =-0.27~0.26,P <0.05);④Emotional intelligence mediated the relationship between family environment and aggres-sion(ab = 0.13,ab/c = 1 6.67%).Conclusion:Good family environment,together with emotional intelligence,can smooth aggression.And emotional intelligence mediates the relationship between the other two factors.关键词
