Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between the freshman school maladjustment and self- concept. Methods:To investigate 405 freshman by use of college students school maladjustment scale and SDQ-Ⅱ.Results:①71.2%college freshmen were school maladjustment.Female freshmen'scores of school maladjustment was higher than male'(t =-2.087,P <0.05 ).There were no significant differences between urban and rural areas in scores of school maladjustment,② Male freshmen'total score of self description was higher than females'(t =-2.350,P <0.05).The rural freshmen'total score of self description was higher than city'(t =-5.093,P <0.05).③Self descrip-tion total score and three self-concept latitude of freshmen were positively correlated with school maladjustment(r=0.583,0.582,0.430,0.5 1 1;P <0.01);④Regression analyses showed that,general self-concept and non academic self-concept could predict happening of maladjustment.Conclusion:Freshmen'self-concept can affect school malad-justment.To improve the self-concept of freshmen is helpful to avoid the school maladjustment for they are closely correlated.关键词
