Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of different methods of making orthodontic bracket samples on bond strengthen tests in vitro. Method: The test samples were randomly divided into two groups. The test samples were made by one part-form in the conventional method group,while in the modified method group, the test samples were made by two part-form. The effects of different methods of making orthodontic br-acket samples on bond strengthen tests were compared. The consumption of composition, operating time, labour intens-ity was also evaluated and analyzed. Result:In the shear bond strengthen test, the resin consumption of molar specime-ns was 3.396 ± 0.08 g in conventional method group, of premolars was 3.035 ± 0.07 g. While by modified method, the resin consumption of molar specimens was 1.286 ± 0.04 g, of premolars was 1.252 ± 0.04 g. In the tensile bond strength-en test, the resin consumption of molar specimens was 2.856 ± 0.07 g prepared by conventional method, of premolars was 2.500 ± 0.02 g. While by modified method, the resin consumption of molar specimens was 1.399 ± 0.03 g, of premolars was 1.481 ± 0.06 g. In conventional method group time-consuming was 28.53 ± 1.76 s, while by modified method, time-consuming was 4.76 ± 0.843 s. There were statistically significant difference between this two groups according to all of the above results(P<0.001), respectively. Conlusion:The modified method can save the consumption of composition, operating time and labour intensity.关键词
