Potential assessment of CO2-ECBM technique in Hedong coalfield

摘要

Abstract

On the basis of the integrated study of the geological conditions such as geological structures, properties of coal reservoir and gas-bearing properties in Hedong coalfield, the preliminary assessment of the potential for CBM extraction and concealing CO2was carried out by using CO2–ECBM technique( for coal seams at depth from 1 000 m to 1500 m)in Hedong coalfield. The results show that CO2–ECBM technique will increase 0.26×1012m3 of CBM resources, accounting for 32.1% of the total CBM resources, and the quantity of CO2 storage will be up to 12.18×108t, equivalent to 3.2 times of CO2 emission in 2013 in Shanxi Province.
