Knowledge Level of Disaster Rescue of Emergency Nursing Managers and Their Attitude Toward Disaster Rescue

Abstract
Objective To investigate the knowledge level of disaster rescue of emergency nursing managers and their attitude toward disaster rescue and to provide basis for research and training about disaster nursing. Methods Totally 152 emergency nursing managers from different hospitals were investigated with a self-designed disaster rescue knowledge and attitude questionnaire. There were three subscales in the questionnaire:preparation before disaster, rescue during the disaster and post-disaster nursing. Results The mean score of disaster knowledge was 49.11 ±10.65. The score of emergency nursing managers who attended the training and simulation drills or once provided assistance for the disaster was higher than those not and there were significantly statistical difference(P<0.01). All emergency nurses held positive attitude toward disaster nursing. Totally 98.7% of the nurses recognized the importance of disaster nursing and 97.4% of them were willing to participate in the nursing training for disaster. Conclusion Emergency nursing training for disaster needs to be strengthened to improve the nursing ability of disaster rescue.关键词
