摘要
Abstract
In the “Shanghai Master Plan (2015—2040)”, which is currently being formulated, the conservation plan is an important component. The conservation system in Shanghai has developed since 1999 when 11 Historic and Cultural Conservation Areas were designated in the Shanghai Master Plan .They were re-designated into 12 Urban Historic and Cultural Conservation Areas in accordance with the newly-implemented policy: “Regulations on the Protection of Historic and Cultural Conservation Areas and Outstanding Historic Buildings in Shanghai” in 2003. In the following 5 years, there were additional 32 Suburban Historic and Cultural Conservation Areas (2005) and 144 roads (2007) designated to the list. Recently in 2015, 119 neighborhoods and another 23 roads were also included in the list. However, the conservation system in Shanghai is not part of the national system. In this paper, the question of how to assess the conservation system in Shanghai is theoretically analyzed based on the concept of urban heritage in order to provide some research viewpoints for the preparation of the “Shanghai Master Plan (2015—2040)”.关键词
