承压含水层顶板固结排水规律研究
A study of consolidation and drainage of clay soil layer on top of the confined aquifer

Abstract
Consolidation and drainage tests under different external pressures are carried out for undisturbed saturated clay of a confined aquifer.The variation in soil volume compressed and water volume discharged under the external pressure is analyzed.The relationship between the coefficient of expansion of soil volume and external pressure and the variation in permeability of soil in the process of consolidation are examined.The results show that when the external pressure is greater than the shear strength of the weakly bound water in soil,part of the weakly bound water will join the pore water seepage flow and convert to free water and drain out.Therefore,the water volume discharged is bigger than the soil volume compressed during soil consolidation,that is,when the deep saturated clay is compressed and compacted,the expansion effect of soil volume will take place.The relationship between the coefficient of expansion and the external pressure follows a power function.The coefficient of permeability of soil decreases with the increasing external pressure.The relationship between the coefficient of permeability and the external pressure follows an exponential function.Due to the drainage of the weakly bound water,stabilization of soil permeability will generate a time-lag effect.关键词
