摘要

Abstract

The crude 1,2-butylene oxide(BO) which was produced with the catalytic epoxidation of 1-butylene contained water,methanol,propanal,acetone and other impurities. The relative volatilities of these impurities to BO were close to 1,so it was hard to separate the impurities by the conventional distillation to obtain high purity BO. The extractive distillation approach was applied to purify BO with the selected extraction solvent 3-methyloctane. The extractive distillation process was simulated and investigated by using NRTL model in Aspen Plus,and the condition was obtained as follow:crude BO flowrate of 1 000 kg/h, solvent ratio of 4,theoretical plate number of the extractive distillation column of 40,crude BO feed stage of 21st,feed temperature of extraction solvent of 42℃,organic reflux flowrate and water flowrate of the extractive distillation column of 89 kg/h and 62 kg/h respectively,theoretical plate number of the product column of 16,feed stage of 12th, reflux ratio of 0.9. The results demonstrated that the purity of BO product can reach 99.79%(w) with the proposed extractive distillation process, and the water and aldehydes mass fraction of BO product were less than 200×10-6(w) and 50×10-6(w) respectively,which can be used as the polymeric monomer.
