摘要

Abstract

In order to improve the range⁃finding accuracy and detection distance of the radar,the pulse compression(PC) processing method is commonly used to process the signal,which can ensure the needed signal energy of remote detection,and make the time⁃bandwidth product far greater than 1. However the increase of the radar sending signal time⁃width will increase the detection blind zone inevitably. To solve this problem,a truncated pulse compression method is proposed. Its working principle and performance are analyzed in detail. This method is different from the methods of launching short pulse for blind zone coverage and combined modulation pulse,which can solve the blind zone problem,and reduce the complexity of radar system with single base station. The principle of this method and radar detection with this method were verified with simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the truncated compression pulse can effectively solve the problem of blind zone increase causing by traditional pulse compression method.
