Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis accompanied with nasal polyps. Methods Eighty cases of patients with chronic sinusitis accompanied with nasal polyps were randomly divided into control group (using the endoscopic sinus surgery) and observation group (using endoscopic sinus surgery plus glucocorticosteroid before and after the operation) in our hospital. There were 40 patients in each group. The clinical total effective rate and recurrence rate of two groups were compared after 6 months' follow-up. Results In the control group, total effective rate was 72.0%, recurrence rate was 15.47%;in the observation group, total effective rate was 94.0%, recurrence rate was 4.69%. There was statistically significant difference ( <0.05) between the two groups. The clinical efficacy in the observation group was obviously better than that in the control group. Conclusion Endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis accompanied with nasal polyps has high cure rate and low recurrence rate. The use of the glucocorticosteroid before and after the operation can improve the clinical efficacy obviously. It is worthy of widely using in the clinical work.关键词
