Abstract
Objective To analyze the expression of TTF -1 and NapsinA in the metastatic pulmonary adenocarcinoma cells in serous effusions. Methods A total of 112 cases of effusion cytology were evaluated.The primary sites of origin were confirmed clinically or histologically in all patients. There were 86 adenocarcinomas from the lung,5 squamous carcinoma from lung,2 small cell carcinoma from lung,13 adenocarcinomas from stomach and 1 adenocarcinomas from pancreas.HE and cell block were prepared for each case.Immunocytochemical study were performed on the cell block sections. Results TTF-1 expressed in 73 lung adenocarcinomas and the sensitivity was 84.9%,specificity was 96.2%,NapsinA expressed in 76 lung adenocarcinomas and the sensitivity was 88.4% ,specificity was 100% . Conclusion NapsinA is a higher sensitive and specific marker for adenocarcinomas of the lung in the serous effusions.关键词
