Control Method for Delta-connected Cascaded SVG Under Unbalanced Condition

Abstract
Delta-connected cascaded static var generator (SVG) is an effective solution to compensate reactive power and negative sequence currents. This paper focused on the control strategy for SVG under unbalanced voltage condition. The asymmetric active powers of three-phase clusters produced by line voltages and phase currents were analyzed. With the method of phasor decomposition, the expression of zero-sequence current was derived under the constraints that the line voltage phasors should be perpendicular to the phase current phasors. On the basis of this, a control strategy for delta-connected SVG was proposed, which could improve the dynamic performance and eliminate the impact of negative- sequence voltage on the compensation performance. Finally, simulation and experiment results have been given to verify the feasibility and correctness of the proposed control strategy.关键词
