摘要

Abstract

Objective To summarize the rules of auditory and speech development in preschool children with cochlear implants, and to provide evidence for the rehabilitation outcome assessment.Methods 52 preschool children with cochlear implants participated in this study. The age at cochlear implantation ranged from 36 to 72 months with a mean of 48.9±9.9 months. The CAP and SIR were used to evaluate the subjects at switch-on session and 6,12, 18,24,36,48 and 60 months after switch-on.Results The scores of CAP increased significantly, especially in the first 12 months after switch-on (P<0.05). The scores of SIR also had a significant increase in the first 24 months(P<0.05). There was a significant correlation between CAP and SIR scores(P=0.000).Conclusion The auditory and speech abilities develop rapidly within 1 and 2 years after the cochear implantation.CAP and SIR is useful in the assessment of auditory and speech abilities of preschool children with cochear implants.
