Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To probe into the clinical efficacy and safety of sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam in treatment of children with epilepsy .METHODS:82 children with epilepsy admitted from Feb .2014 to Feb.2015 were selected to be divided into observation group and control group via the random number table , with 41 cases in each.The control group were treated with sodium valproate combined with topiramate , while the observation group received sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam .The efficacy , relevant laboratory indicators and adverse drug reactions of two groups were observed .RESULTS: After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was 95.12%( 39/41 ) , significantly higher than that of control group [ 80.49%( 33/41 ) ] , with statistically significant difference ( P <0.05 ) .Compared with before treatment , the levels of blood calcium and phosphorus after treatment significantly decreased , the improvement of various indicators in observation group were better than that in control group , with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).There was no severe adverse drug reactions occurred in two groups .CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam in treatment of children with epilepsy is remarkable , which can improve the symptoms in children with epilepsy with high safety .Thus it has good application value in clinic .关键词
