Abstract
Objective By observing the difference before and after the establishment of Guangdong people's mediation committee of medical dispute,to explore the effect of Guangdong third-party mediation mode,objectively evaluate the role of third-party mediation in medical disputes resolving,and provide a theoretical basis for govemment to develop a reasonable,scientific and efficient medical dispute mediation mechanism.Methods Three Guangzhou hospitals were chosen to analyze the amount of medical disputes which occurred from January,2009 to December,2013.June,2011,the time of the establishment of Guangdong people's mediation committee of medical dispute,was set as the dividing line.The mode and manner changes of these three hospitals before and after the establishment of Guangdong people's mediation committee of medical dispute were statisticaly analyzed.Results Before and after the establishment of Guangdong people's mediation committee of medical dispute,the percentage of medical dispute solving by third-party mediation party were 0.00％ and 19.75％,respectively,with a statistical difference (x2=12.663 7,P=0.000 4);by mutual negotiation,the percentage were 68.18％ and 71.60％,respectively,with a statistical difference (x2=0.203 2,P=0.652 2);by administrative handling,the percentage were 13.64％ and 2.47％,with a statistical difference (x2=5.037 2,P=-0.024 8);by litigation,the percentage were 18.18％ and 6.17％,with a statistical difference (x2=5.128 2,P=0.023 5).Conclusions After the establishment of Guangdong people's mediation committee of medical dispute,the number of medical disputes which was settled by administrative handling and litigation was significantly decreased,which indicates that third-party mediation mechanism could be an efficient way for medical disputes solving.Statistical results also illustrates that medical disputes which were settled by mutual negotiation amounted the largest proportion.The implement of third-party mediation mechanism did not significantly reduce the number and proportion of medical disputes which were settled by mutual negotiation,which means mutual negotiation still plays an important role in medical disputes resolving and cannot be completely abolished.关键词
