A Study Of The Planning Of Public Facilities In British New Town Project Based On The Garden City Theory And Urbanization Theory
摘要
Abstract
China is in the process of rapid urbanization which is a prominent phenomenon. During this process,more and more people move to urban area and live there which has caused the pressure of public facilities supplying and sharing. The planning of the distribution of public facilities in new cities is one of the most useful methods which could solve this problem. The dilemma of the planning of public facilities was also happened in the history of Britain which had led to the Garden city theory and British New Town Project. This paper tries to study the result of the planning of public facilities in British new town based on the theory of Garden city and urbanization theory. It hopes to find to what extent China could learn from British’s experience.关键词
