摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the outcome and surgical techniques in patients with middle-upper petroclival tumors resected microsurgically via modified Kawase approach .Method The clinical data and follow-up results of 18 consecutive petroclival tumors patients with modified Kawase approach were retrospectively analyzed .Results In this group , there were 8 meningiomas , 2 trigeminal schwannomas ,2 pontine gliomas and 4 petrosal cholesteatomas .Tumors were removed totally in 15 patients,removed subtotally in 3 patients.There was no mortality.There was no complications of postoperative hematoma , CSF leak or infections .Conclusions The modified Kawase approach is very suitable for the exision of the tumors in middle-upper petroclival region .关键词
