Anxiety and Wory Matters of Pregnant Women with Pregnancy-associated Group B Streptococcal Infection before Childbirth

Abstract
Objective To understand the anxiety and worry matters of pregnant women with pregnancy associated Group B Streptococcal (GBS) infection in the third trimester of pregnancy. Methods Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and a self-designed questionnaire on concerned issues before childbirth were applied to investigate 196 hospitalized pregnant women with GBS infection in the third trimester of pregnancy from October 2014 to June 2015. Results The score of anxiety was 43.77±6.34. Of the total, 31 suffered from mild anxiety, with an incidence of 15.8% and 1 suffered from moderate anxiety, with an incidence of 0.5%. Patients worried more about the influence of GBS infection on fetus, complications during the duration of pregnancy and the existence of GBS infection throughout the life. Conclusion The pregnant women with from GBS infection present different levels of anxiety. It is necessary to conduct GBS infection-related health education to alleviate their anxiety.关键词
