摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the influence of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES)combined with swallowing function training on the quality of life in children with cerebral palsy complicating dysphagia. Methods One hundred and fifty children outpatients and inpatients with cerebral palsy complicating dysphagia in our center from June 2012 to August 2015 were randomly divided into the NMES group and control group ,75 cases in each group. The control group only received the swallowing function training,while on this basis the NMES group was given VitalStim electrical stimulation therapy. The dysphagia disorders survey and evaluation of quality of life were performed before treatment and at 8 weeks after treatment. Results The swallowing function and quality of life after 8-week treatment in the NMES group were significantly increased compared with the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),moreover no adverse reactions occurred. Conclusion NMES combined with swallowing function training could not only improve the swallowing function ,but also improve the quality of life in children with cerebral palsy complicating dysphagia.关键词
