Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of Sox9 mRNA in differentiation process of chondrosarcoma ,and to analyze its relation with clinical pathological parameters. Methods The expression difference of Sox9 mRNA between common chon-drosarcoma and differentiated chondrosarcoma and its relation with the clinical pathological parameters were detected by using the immunohistochemical method. Results Compared with normal cartilage tissue,Sox9 mRNA was up-regulated in common chon-drosarcoma and down-regulated in differentiated chondrosarcoma;the Sox9 mRNA expression level had statistical difference among different grades of chondrosarcoma(P<0.05);the positive difference of Sox9 mRNA expression had no relation with the age, gender and site(P>0.05),while had relation with the lung metastasis and recurrence,moreover the positive rate in the patients with lung metastasis and recurrence was significantly higher than that in the patients without lung metastasis and recurrence ,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Conclusion Sox9 mRNA is related with occurrence,progression,metastasis and prognosis of chondrosarcoma.关键词
