Abstract
Objectives To study the application of Montreal cognitive assessment ( MoCA ) and mini-mental state examination (MMSE) in screening cognitive impairment in Parkinson ’s disease(PD) patients,and analyze related risk factors of PD cognitive im-pairment.Methods One hundred and twenty PD patients were divided into normal group (PD-NCI),mild cognitive impairment group(PD-MCI) and PD dementia group (PDD) according to their cognitive function.They were assessed and according to their Mo-CA and MMSE score, and to analyze the relationship between related risk factors of gender , age, years of education, the course of the disease and cognitive impairment .Results The MoCA and MMSE scores were significantly different in 3 groups ( P<0.05 ) . Compared with normal group , MCI and PDD group have less education and more elderly male patients ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusions MoCA combined MMSE is effective in screening the cognitive impairment in Parkinson ’s disease patients.Gender, age, level of educationand course may be related risk factors of PD cognitive impairment .关键词
