Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect on the vitamin B12 concentration of folic acid in the treatment of hyperhomocysteinemia.Methods:125 patients with cerebral infarction combined with hyperhomocysteinemia were selected.The Hcy concentration was 20 to 30 μmol /L.They were randomly divided to the control group with 61 cases and the treatment group with 64 cases.The control group was given conventional medical treatment.The treatment group was given folic acid treatment on the basis of conventional medical treatment.The Hcy concentration and vitamin B12 concentration were detected after 12 weeks of treatment.Results:After treatment,the blood Hcy concentrations of the control group and the treatment group were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the blood Hcy concentration of the treatment group was decreased significantly than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between vitamin B12 concentration before and after treatment in two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Folic acid supplementation can be used in the treatment of hyperhomocysteinemia,the folic acid alone in the treatment of hyperhomocysteinemia will not lead to reduce the vitamin B12 concentration.关键词
