Abstract
Objective:To analyze the causes of difficulties in ABO blood group typing in unpaid donors of Nanchong and to dis-cuss the measures for the blood of these donors.Methods:Serological tests including ABO group forward and reverse typing,absorption-elution testing,determination on blood group materials in saliva,and screening on irregular antibody were adopted,to test blood speci-mens from 42 cases of unpaid donors from Nanchong Red Cross Central Blood Station,which were difficult in ABO blood group typing. Results:Cause analysis in 42 cases of local unpaid donors with difficulty in ABO blood group typing found that ABO antibodies were weakened or disappeared in 26 cases (61 .90%),there were ABO subtypes in 13 cases (30.96%),and there were irregular antibodies in plasma of 3 cases (7.14%).Conclusion:The main cause of difficulty in ABO blood group typing in local unpaid donors is reduction or disappearance of ABO antibodies,followed by ABO subtypes and the irregular antibodies in plasma alone.Different measures will be taken according to the specific circumstances,so as to improve the effectiveness and safety of clinical application of blood from these do-nors to avoid the waste of blood.关键词
