Abstract
Traditional detection method for hydrophobicity of the insulator adopts artificial charged operation which is not only time-consuming and strenuous but also there are security hidden dangers. Therefore,this paper designs a kind of detec-tion device for hydrophobicity based on rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)which firstly uses electro-driven water spray device,GoPro micro digital camera and image transmission equipment carried by rotor UAV to conduct high altitude opera-tion for the power transmission line insulator such as water spray,filming,image transmission,and so on. This detection de-vice then uses image processing software to analyze hydrophobicity level of the insulator at the ground station,thereinto it u-ses water spray classification for subjective discrimination while improved shape factor method for objective discrimination. This device is used for hydrophobicity testing on four groups of insulators. Results of subjective discrimination and objective discrimination are consistent,which indicates that this device is able to improve detection efficiency,veracity and security.关键词
