Abstract
Water pollution problems had become increasingly prominent in the pearl river delta of Guangdong Province, aquatic en-vironment was greatly affected.Overview of the status of aquatic ecosystems of small and middle-sized rivers in the pearl river del-ta, countermeasures of water ecological restoration were discussed, including the source control, improvement of the urban sewage collection and treatment, non-point source pollution control, the key areas of aquatic ecosystem restoration, the construction of the waterfront and management of the systems.At last, a demonstration project of Maozhou border river regulation was briefly introduced as well.The project gave full consideration to the drainage, embankment, road traffic, sewage interception and beautification of shoreline.The engineering design followed the concept of nature, harmonious relationship between human and water, could provide reference for water ecological restoration in the river.关键词
