Overview on the Study of Freak Waves and Ships Encountering with Freak Waves
摘要
Abstract
Freak waves pose a great threat to shipping and ocean engineering structures ,which have become a hotspot problem in physical oceanography and marine hydrodynamics field at present .This paper introduces the definition of freak waves and the current observation ,and explores the formation mechanism of freak waves .It carries on the analysis and com‐parison of the existing laboratory simulation methods ,makes a brief exposition of the relevant situation of the study of ships encountering with freak waves carried by foreign research teams and finally puts forward the thought of the research of ships encountering with freak waves .关键词
