Clinical effect of full reconstruction for distal thumb and finger defect
摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of partial distal fingers reconstruction by the first toe wrap-a-round flap or the second toe and the donor sites repaired with proximal pedicel skin flap transfer. Methods Twelve cases (12 thumbs and fingers) of subtotal defect of thumb and finger underwent reconstruction surgeries in this way. Results All the 12 cases transplanted fingers survived completely. Ten cases were followed up for 6~18 months, two cases were lost follow-up, the fabricated fingers had very realistic configurations. The sensation function above S3 +, and their two-point discriminations ranged from 5 mm to 10 mm. Each case had nice, symmetric appearances and no functional difference. Conclusions Subtotal defect of thumb and finger reconstructed by the big toe wrap-a-round flap or the second toe is an ideal alteration to recovery the appearance and function of defect fingers, as well as minor destructions to donor sites.关键词
