摘要
Abstract
Objectives To compare the effect of latanoprost, travoprost and timolol in primary open angle glauco-ma ( POAG) patients.Methods 120 patients with POAG were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 40 cases in each group.Group A, group B and group C were treated once daily with latanoprost, travoprost and timolol eyedrops respective-ly, and a drop was given at 8 PM every night for every time in four weeks.Results There was no difference of intraocular pressure (IOP) before the treatment among the three groups ( P >0.05), but IOP became lower among the three groups 4 weeks after the treatment, the differences were statistically significant ( P <0.05).The mean IOP reducation were signifi-cantly differernt among the groups, specifically, the latanoprost group and travoprost group in comparison to the timolol group at week 4 ( P <0.05) .Conclusions Latanoprost, travoprost and timolol eyedrops are all effective and hosting in reducing IOP in POAG, but the curative effect of latanoprost and travoprost eyedrops are better than timolol eyedrops.关键词
