Current progress in understanding of caspase's role in retinal cell apoptosis
摘要
Abstract
Apoptosis plays a great role in the development of some ocular diseases such as glaucoma, retinal de-tachment, age-related macular degeneration, retinal ischemia and retinoblastoma, etc.Caspase is the key protease in the process of apoptosis.Caspase associated cascade reaction is the common pathway for apoptosis of retinal photoreceptor cells, retinal ganglion cells and some other retinal cells.Therefore, caspase inhibitors have been the focus of research re-cently.In this paper, the role of caspase in retinal cell apoptosis were reviewed.关键词
