Abstract

In order to realize the prediction of the periodic weighting pace of fully mechanized coal mining face under the condition of different mining rate so as to ensure the stability of working face, taking the working face 14204 in a coal mine in Northern Shanxi as engineering background, the paper obtained the law of rock pressure behavior through the real time monitoring of the pressure on the supports in working face, and then conducted re-gression analysis of the influence of the mining rate on the periodic weighting pace by using the logarithmic func-tion and the hyperbolic function. The results show that the average pressure step in working face 14204 was 13.3 m. Through the comparative analysis it was found that the hyperbolic function could fit well the influence of mining rate on the periodic weighting pace. The periodic weighting pace increased with the mining rate, but due to the difference of the boundary and geological conditions of roof at two ends and the middle of working face, the in-crease amplitude was different. The research results can provide useful practical experiences for the prediction and control of the mining pressure behavior in the fully mechanized coal mining face in Northern Shanxi.
