Knowledge Search, Absorptive Capacity and Enterprise Innovation Performance---The Moderating Effect of Environmental Uncertainty

Abstract
Purpose/Significance] The role of knowledge search for innovation performance has long been recognized by the academic circle and enterprises, but the mechanism of how knowledge search will affect innovation performance remains understudied. Are there ex-cessive knowledge search in enterprises presently? What kind of mediating effect does absorptive capacity play? How does environmental uncertainty adjust the effect of knowledge search on innovation performance? [ Method/Process] In order to study these problems, this paper investigated 169 enterprises, analyzed the data with hierarchical regression analysis method, and studied the relationships among knowledge search, absorptive capacity and environmental uncertainty and the enterprise innovation performance. [ Result/Conclusion] It is found that: there is no excessive knowledge search in enterprises generally;in the effect of knowledge search on innovation performance, absorptive capacity plays a partial mediating effect and environmental uncertainty a positive moderating effect. Knowledge search strategies for enterprises are proposed at last.关键词
