摘要

Abstract

This paper analyzed the ash and silica content in leaves and culms of six 3 ̄year ̄old bamboo species, i. e. , Dendrocalamus brandisii, D. giganteus, D. latiflorus, Thyrsostachys siamensis, D. barbatus, Phyllostachys sulphurea ( Carr. ) A. et C. Riv. cv. Robert Young. The results showed that ash content and silica content among the six species had significant difference whether in leaves or in culms, which may be due to the difference in the species and growing environment. For the same species, the ash and silica contents in leaves were higher than those in culms. The silica content in different parts of a culm presented the decreasing trend from the top to the base.
