Abstract

Objective:To improve the accuracy of fetus structure screening in ultra-sound training,combined quality control of image scoring and cumulative sum( CUSUM) analy-sis in second-trimester prenatal structure screening were carried out. Methods:A total of 28 standardized ultrasound planes of fetal organs,such as central nervous system,heart,digestive system were chosen. All images obtained by 3 ultrasound doctors at mid-trimester scan were stored. These images were analyzed by two reviews,according to predefined criteria. The score difference among three doctors and the total score was delineated using CUSUM,and the failure rate was set 10%. Interreviewer and Intrareviewer agreement was assessed using intraclass cor-relation coefficient ( ICC ) . Results:The images obtained by three doctors scoring above 234 were more than 80 . The ICC in image scoring showed good inter-and intrareviewer ( A1 and B 0. 985,A2 and B 0. 977,A1 and A2 0. 992). The CUSUM plots showed that screening compe-tence was achieved by 74、89 and 61 tests for three doctors,respectively. Conclusion:With the combined quality control methods, we effectively improved the quality of fetus structure ultra-sound screening and certified the competence of prenatal ultrasound screening in ultrasound training.
