Abstract

Objective To investigate the action mechanism of the enhanced external counter pulsation (EECP) for treat-ing angina pectoris. Methods Fifty-six patients with chronic ischemic angina pectoris in our hospital from January 2014 to September 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group(39 cases) and the control group(17 cases). The two groups were performed the routine therapy and examinations. The patients in the treatment group were performed EECP accompa-nied by the medical staff in the whole process. ELISA was adopted to detect MMP-9 and TNF-αlevels. The curative effects of the two groups were comparatively analyzed. Results The effective rate after therapy in the treatment group was 92.3%(36/39), which was higher than 41.2%(7/17) in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);the MMP-9 and TNF-αlevels after treatment in the two groups were superior to those before treatment ,moreover the treatment group was superior to the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The EECP therapy can decrease the levels of TNF-αand MMP-9 and improve the symptoms of angina pectoris.
