Abstract
Objective To discuss the effect of acusector combined with traction on pain and motor function of patients with sciatica caused by lumbar disc herniation.Methods 118 patients with sciatica caused by lumbar disc herniation cured in our hospital were selected as the research objects and evenly divided into 2 groups, i.e. the observation group and the control group with 59 cases in each. Patients in the observation group were treated with acusector combined with traction, whereas patients in the control group were treated with western medicine. Pain and motor function recovery of patients in both groups before treatment (T0) and 1 month (T1) and 3 months (T2) after treatment were observed, and treatment safety were judged.Results VasLP and Roland scores at T0 and Likert scores at T0-2 were not significantly different between both groups (P>0.05). VasLP and Roland scores at T1 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, but these two scores at T2 in the observation group were markedly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There were 6 cases of untoward effect (10.2%) in the observation group, and 8 cases (13.6%) in the control group with no significant differences between both groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with western medicine, acusector combined with traction in treatment of patients with sciatica caused by lumbar disc herniation takes a longer time to take effect, but it is more helpful in improving pain and motor function in the long run.关键词
